The CLC EU Policy Group will hold an in-person meeting in Helsinki featuring Philippe Lamberts, member of President Ursula von der Leyen’s Cabinet and former Green MEP, during his visit to Finland. Members will discuss insights from the Nordic ecosystem, current thinking within the President’s Cabinet, and ways to advance CLC’s agenda at the EU level. Indicative topics include the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), industrial policy including the Industrial Accelerator Act (IAA), and lead markets.
The CLC EU Policy Group brings together members to follow and shape EU climate and industrial policy. The group focuses on both current EU initiatives and longer-term policy needs, preparing CLC positions on key climate, energy, industrial, and finance policies while also ideating proposals for future policy development. Each meeting features a guest speaker, followed by a discussion on current policy developments such as the Clean Industrial Deal and the ETS Review, and concludes with an overview of CLC’s upcoming proposals.
