Member activities

CLC’s member engagement is built around three core pillars that reflect our strategic priorities and foster meaningful collaboration across our network. These pillars are designed to support our mission of accelerating the green transition through Nordic leadership in key value chains.

Strategic initiatives

CLC’s strategic initiatives are deep-dive initiatives that bring together members around our most critical climate focus areas. These projects are not just working groups, they are collaborative platforms where members co-create policy proposals, share expertise, and shape the future of climate action. Current projects include carbon removals, Nordic near-zero emissions steel, and green investments in cities, with a new energy-focused project in development.

Each project is designed to deliver tangible outcomes, such as reports and recommendations, which are shared with the broader member base through webinars and events. These projects are open to active participation and provide a unique opportunity to contribute directly to CLC’s strategic agenda.

Climate policy groups

CLC’s climate policy groups offer members a structured way to engage in policy advocacy across three levels: EU, national, and global. These groups ensure that members stay informed and have a direct voice in shaping CLC’s positions on emerging climate legislation.

EU policy group

This group focuses on key EU climate policies such as the 2040 target, Clean Industrial Deal, CBAM, ETS Review, Ecodesign, and selected agricultural and circular economy policies. It targets engagement with the EU Commission, MEPs, and rapporteurs. The group meets four times per year and is ideal for sustainability and public affairs professionals working on EU topics.
