Projects
CLC's strategic initiatives are member-driven deep dives into our key focus areas. These initiatives bring together a broad spectrum of CLC members to co-create policy proposals and reports that shape the climate agenda. The outcomes are shared across our network through webinars and events, ensuring wide visibility and impact.

Climate Investments in Cities
The Espoo Climate Community (COMET) project has developed a climate investment framework that helps cities attract clean private capital by identifying and removing administrative barriers.

Nordic Near-Zero Emissions Steel
The Nordic Near-Zero Emissions Steel initiative accelerates decarbonization, aligns Nordic policy action, and builds a model for Europe and beyond.

Call on Carbon
The Call on Carbon initiative, signed by over 100 companies, urges governments to scale carbon pricing, reform subsidies, and unlock investment for net zero.

Carbon Removals
The carbon removal project supports the development of a robust, scalable CDR ecosystem in Europe, one that can help the EU lead the global transition toward net-negative emissions.
CLC was founded in 2014 by Finnish companies Fortum, KONE, Neste, St1, Outotec, Caverion and Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund. The first meeting leading to the founding of CLC was convened by Antti Herlin, Chairman of the Board of KONE.
